The Definition and Classification of Traditional Handicrafts

Abstract  This paper scientifically defines traditional handicrafts from the four dimensions of design or creativity, materials, production, and functions, and classifies them by trade, thereby forming a three-tier classification system of traditional Chinese handicrafts encompassing 15 main categories, 106 sub-categories, and 765 types.
